Staff infection or staph infection? What are the symptoms? What is MRSA and why is it so prevalent in hospitals? Is a staph infection contagious? What is the best treatment for these types of skin infections?
What is a Staph Infection?
Most staph infections are caused by staphylococcus aureus bacteria. While many people (and dogs) carry staph on their skin and in their nose without issue, the bacteria become a problem when they are able to cross the body’s natural protective barrier through a cut or wound.
A staph infection can take the form of a sty or boil. If the infection spreads to other skin areas, it can cause folliculitis (infection of a hair follicle), cellulitis (infection of the skin and underlying soft tissue) and other conditions. When the bacteria reach the bloodstream and release toxins, they are also responsible for pneumonia, food poisoning, toxic shock syndrome and MRSA.
Staph Infection Symptoms – Often Visible but Not Always
Staph infection symptoms range from no visible signs (in the case of food poisoning or toxic shock syndrome) to infected pimples to oozing blisters. A typical skin infection begins with swelling, redness and pain in the area. As the infection advances, a fever, chills and sweats can also accompany the inflammation. If left untreated, a staph infection can become very serious.
Are Antibiotics the Answer?
While antibiotics are often prescribed to treat a staph infection, they are not always effective, as in the case of MRSA, a hospital-acquired resistant strain of bacteria. Take heart, however. A new natural remedy is available that does not promote resistance in bacteria. It’s powerful, yet safe and gentle. It’s Guardian Silver Sol.
Guardian Silver Sol Kills Bacteria on Contact
Research, including the patent for silver sol, has proven that the elemental silver particles destroy staph bacteria within minutes of contact. And since it is 100% double-purified water-based, Guardian is a gentle cleanser.
Clean out the wound with soap and water, then with Guardian Silver. Spray the area one to four times a day with silver and/or place a silver-soaked bandage over the wound. You should also take 2 tsp of silver sol twice a day as an internal cleanse.
